1 Avocado, sliced
1 lb Ground Beef
1 tsp Sugar
2 Green Leaf Lettuce leaves
2 Potato Burger Buns
2 Slices Cheddar Cheese
2-3 Radishes, sliced thinly
Cooking Oil
Pepper
Sea Salt
½ cup Apple Cider Vinegar
½ cup Water
Place radish slices in a clean jar. Combine apple cider vinegar, sugar and 1 teaspoon salt in a small saucepan. Bring to a boil and simmer until salt and sugar is dissolved. Pour over radishes and let cool.
Sprinkle meat with sea salt and pepper; gently mix by hand, without breaking up meat too much. Form loosely into patties. Try not to compress too much.
Heat a medium pan with a drizzle of oil. Place patties in pan – it should be hot enough that they sizzle. At no point should you squash the burger – keep the juices inside! Cook until first side is well browned, then flip. Place cheese on top so it can melt (cover with a lid if the cheese isn't melting). Lightly toast burger buns. Remove burgers from pan when they are done to your liking.
Assemble burgers with pickled watermelon radish, avocado slices, lettuce leaf and your favorite burger accompaniments.
