Jaindl's Organic Grand Champion Turkey comes from the Pennsylvania family that has farmed this land for five generations, and it's the same line of turkey that won the National Turkey Federation's Grand Champion title in 1954. Raised to certified organic standards, the turkeys are cage free, with room to wander open, airy barns, eating certified organic, vegetarian feed grown on Jaindl's own farmland. Caretakers tend each barn by hand every day, keeping the birds well fed, supplied with fresh well water, and their quarters clean. Raised without antibiotics or synthetic additives. The meat is rich and tender, with a clean, balanced flavor.

Turkey Deposits

When you’re charged: A non-refundable deposit will be automatically charged on October 19th for all turkeys added to cart now through October 19th. After October 19th, the deposit will be billed about 48 hours after it is added. You'll see a "Bills on" date listed on the turkey in your cart, and the morning after you add a turkey, we'll email you confirming the deposit amount and billing date.

Your deposit counts toward your final bill: The deposit is applied to your final order total, so you’ll never be charged for it twice.

If you remove your turkey: Once the deposit has been charged, it is non-refundable. If you change your mind and remove the turkey from your order, the deposit will be forfeited.

Jaindl Farms began in 1933, when John L. Jaindl bought his son Fred a handful of turkeys at the county fair. Fred grew that small start into a thriving farm, and five generations later the family still owns and operates it in Orefield, Pennsylvania.

Jaindl raises its turkeys the way it always has: entirely on its own farm. The family hatches, grows, processes, and markets its turkeys itself, and grows its own corn and soybeans on 14,000 acres to mill into the birds' feed. The turkeys are cage free, with room to wander open, airy barns, and caretakers tend each barn by hand every day, keeping the birds well fed, supplied with fresh well water, and their quarters clean. Every turkey is raised without antibiotics.

The farm has history behind it, too. In 1954, Jaindl turkeys won the Grand Champion title at the National Turkey Federation's competition, and Fred spent the decades that followed selectively breeding his flock. That turkey has supplied the White House Thanksgiving table for nearly 50 years.
