Fresh organic Flavor King pluots, a plum-apricot hybrid with mottled reddish-purple skin and deep amber-red flesh. Pluots lean mostly toward plum genetics with a smaller share of apricot, a cross developed by Zaiger's Genetics in California, and Flavor King is one of the most widely grown varieties of the hybrid. Packed in a clamshell to keep the fruit protected in transit. Eat them fresh out of hand once they give slightly to gentle pressure, slice into a salad with arugula and goat cheese, halve and grill for a few minutes to caramelize the cut side, or simmer into a compote with a touch of lemon. Pairs well with soft cheeses, toasted almonds, basil, and honey.
