ZaZa Snacks makes pita chips born in Brooklyn, from a recipe that traces back considerably further. Victoria, the company's founding matriarch, spent over four decades splitting pitas, coating them in a custom za'atar and olive oil blend, and baking them into what her family called "The Mother Chip."
That recipe is now the foundation of ZaZa's small-batch operation. The company makes two varieties: the flagship za'atar chip, seasoned with their own proprietary spice blend, and a sea salt version finished with extra virgin olive oil. Both start with freshly baked pita and are baked in small batches to a thin, crisp finish.
