Real Cereal
Los Angeles, CA
The Real Cereal Company was founded in Los Angeles in 2021 by Daniel Abramovich and Tom Binder with a deceptively simple premise: take the classic cereals people grew up eating and make them from real ingredients. Not reformulated with alternative grains or functional add-ins, but genuinely stripped back. Their Organic Corn Flakes contain two ingredients, organic corn and sea salt. Their Organic Rice Crisps contain one. The goal was to prove that the nostalgic crunch of childhood cereal and a clean label were not mutually exclusive.
To do it on their own terms, Abramovich and Binder built their own production facility in Los Angeles from the start, a significant early investment that gave them control over quality, format, and packaging. That decision also let them move away from the industry-standard bag-in-box, switching to pouches made from 43.5% post-consumer recycled materials. The cereal is certified organic, non-GMO, gluten-free, and contains zero added sugar.
The Real Cereal Company won Cereal Product of the Year at the Mindful Awards and has secured national distribution with Whole Foods Market, Sprouts, Albertsons Safeway, Thrive Market, and Erewhon, among others.
