Ocelot was founded in 2013 by Matt and Ish, who met while cooking across Europe and built the company around a shared obsession with fine food and design. What began in an Edinburgh kitchen is now made by a small, dedicated team in a micro-factory in the heart of Dundee, Scotland.
Every bar Ocelot produces is made with cacao from Original Beans, their sister company and supplier, which sources exclusively from regenerative rainforests and has earned the Good Egg Award for World's Most Ethical Chocolate two years running. The chocolate is certified organic, made with unrefined cane sugar, and contains no emulsifiers or preservatives.
The visual identity, designed by Ish, an illustration graduate, is as considered as the chocolate itself. Bold color and graphic form have always been central to the brand, but the packaging reflects a broader commitment: that beautiful things shouldn't cost the planet. For Ocelot, craft and ethics aren't competing priorities; they're the same one.
