Jalapa Jar was founded by friends Joel Nearing and Tommy Byrnes, who set out to make salsa that tastes as fresh as it should. What started in Austin quickly found a new home in Brooklyn, where the team built a kitchen dedicated to producing small-batch salsa with real, vibrant flavor.
Each variety is made with fresh, hand-chopped vegetables, bright citrus, and just the right amount of heat to bring out the natural flavor of the ingredients. The result is a clean, lively salsa that captures the essence of what homemade should taste like.
Still made in Brooklyn’s Navy Yard, Jalapa Jar continues to grow while staying true to its mission: simple ingredients, bold flavor, and freshness you can taste.
