Our grass-fed creamline milk comes locally from Ronnybrook Dairy in upstate NY. Their milk is as unprocessed as possible. While it is pasteurized, it is never ultra-pasteurized or homogenized, which makes it easier for the body to digest and absorb the nutrients. This does mean the milk develops a line of cream towards the top that separates and hardens the longer the milk sits, sometimes giving it a lumpy appearance. Fear not! The milk has not gone bad! This is just creamline milk doing its thing. Only if the milk smells sour and tastes bad has it turned. Small lumps of cream are not only fine, but delicious, and perfect for your morning coffee or cereal.
