It’s peak melon season, so the melons are at their sweetest and most delicious. Melons are great hydrators and a wonderfully refreshing substitute for some of the endless amounts of water you need to guzzle when it’s hot out. Cantaloupes, in particular, also pack a one-two nutritional punch of beta carotene and vitamin C which keep you healthy in the heat. Wrap pieces in prosciutto; make a cold melon soup; and if you don’t want to waste any melon, pickle the rind and roast the seeds!
