You can be sure it’s summer when all the farmers markets are brimming with berries. Blackberries, a close relative of raspberries, might be the most nutritionally dense of all. With more antioxidants than even blueberries, they are filled with fiber and vitamin C. Blackberries are notoriously good for making pies, jellies, and jams. However, they are also very delicious raw. Eat them out of hand; or add them to a refreshing summer salad with arugula, parmesan, and lemon dressing. Because they spoil quickly, make sure to eat them as soon as possible.
