Black Oxford Apples

2 pieces

Maine's most famous apple, the black oxford is an heirloom variety with a round shape and a deep purple skin with a blackish bloom; from a distance might make you think you’d discovered a huge plum! An all purpose apple with a sweet, complex flavor and yielding flesh, black oxfords work great for raw eating as well as all kinds of cooking applications: desserts like pies and cakes, roasts, and applesauce (leave the skins on to turn your applesauce pink!) Also makes a killer cider.

Store in the coldest part of the fridge for up to two weeks.
