Asian Tempest Garlic
Native to South Korea, and sometimes known as Seoul Sister garlic, this purple and white striped garlic head opens up to 5-7 deep violet cloves. When raw, this garlic has an exceptionally hot and spicy flavor that mellows with cooking into a tangy, creamy, full-bodied garlic flavor that is reminiscent of sweet pepper. Best suited for baking and roasting, try adding to lasagna or mushrooms to really punch up their flavors. It would also make a killer roast chicken (well, killer if you're a vampire). Use sparingly raw, as the flavor is quite potent.
