Smith's Farm was originally established in the 1920s by Carl Smith, who started with 20 acres of potatoes. Over the years, the farm expanded to include livestock and poultry. In the late 1950s, Carl Smith, a Stockbridge School of Agriculture graduate, shifted the focus to strawberries and plants for wholesale and pick-your-own. Today, the farm spans over 90 acres, with the latest generation continuing the family legacy of growing fruit and vegetables. All produce sold at their East Bridgewater farm and local markets is grown, harvested, and sold locally.
