Suzie’s Organics is a woman- and family-owned condiment company based in Pendleton, Oregon, with a heritage stretching back to the 18th century. The business began with Jacobus Barhyte, a Southern German immigrant, whose homemade Sweet 'n Sour Mustard Sauce was cherished by neighbors in what is now Saratoga Springs, New York, eventually traveling west across the Oregon Trail.

In the late 1970s, Jan and Susan "Suzie" Barhyte began sharing these family recipes at their Swift & Martin Station deli in Pendleton. The bold flavors quickly won fans, turning a casual offering into a thriving condiment lineup. By 1984, the mustards and sauces had outgrown the deli, prompting a move closer to Willamette Valley's mustard fields, and in 1994 the company returned to Pendleton, where it remains rooted today.

Suzie’s Organics crafts a wide range of USDA-certified organic, non-GMO products, from classic mustards and ketchup to mayo, tartar sauce, taco sauce, soy sauce, and cocktail sauce, made with clean ingredients and without artificial preservatives. Their philosophy, captured in the tagline "Simply Made. Simply Good," reflects a commitment to quality, tradition, and transparency.

In 1995, Suzie turned the business over to Irene and Chris Barhyte, carrying on the women-led legacy. Today, the company has grown from a regional favorite into a global brand, bringing its family heritage and Oregon-made integrity to kitchens worldwide.

Suzie’s Organics offers flavorful, wholesome condiments made the traditional, small-batch way so you can enjoy bold taste, honest ingredients, and decades of family craftsmanship on every table.
