At Farm to People, we source most of our products locally. Supporting local and regional farmers is our priority, but some items don't grow well in the Northeast or are out of season here. For those, like grapes or blueberries grown in Peru, we look farther afield so you can still find your everyday staples with us. When our local season ends, Peru's is often just getting started.

For a lot of imported fruit, a few large companies own many of the popular varieties and control much of the market. When we source from farther away, we choose to work outside that model where we can. We work with trusted distributors or brokers who source from several growers, so your produce may arrive in a national brand's packaging, like Naturipe, Ocean Spray, Homegrown Organic Farms, or Awe Sum Organics, and the label can change from week to week. We'd rather tell you the country of origin up front than name a farm we can't guarantee.

Whether it's grown locally or from further away, everything we sell has to meet our quality standards.
