Etelka cottage cream is a smooth, European-style cousin of cottage cheese, known as turó, a thick cultured dairy that is a kitchen staple across Hungary. Where American cottage cheese comes curdy and watery, this blends into a dense, spoonable texture with no lumps, and has 20 grams of protein per 6-ounce serving. It is made from just two ingredients: milk from grass-fed cows and live active cultures imported from Europe, nothing else.
With just as much protein, but not as much tang, this cottage cream can be used in place of Greek yogurt. Eat it straight from the container, stir it into a bowl with fruit and honey, spread it onto crackers or bread, or fold it into a batter or bake for a protein boost.
