Alaska Glacier Seafoods, Inc. is a family-owned and operated seafood company based in Juneau, Alaska. The business began in 1996 when the Erickson family started fishing from a small 14-foot skiff, selling side-stripe shrimp and a few pounds of catch to local customers.
As demand grew, the company expanded, first by purchasing halibut quotas and supplying local restaurants and roadside stands, then by buying halibut from other fishermen. This early momentum helped the business grow quickly. In 2005, Alaska Glacier Seafoods opened a 10,000-square-foot waterfront processing plant in Auke Nu Cove near Juneau to support increased volume and ensure efficient processing and distribution.
Today, the company processes more than 10 million pounds of wild Alaska seafood annually and employs nearly 150 people during peak season. Alaska Glacier Seafoods is deeply committed to high quality and to the sustainable management of wild Alaska fisheries. They process a wide range of seafood including salmon, halibut, black cod, shellfish, and more, all caught in Alaska’s pristine waters and handled with care to reach customers as fresh, responsibly harvested seafood.
From small-boat shrimping to large-scale processing and global distribution, Alaska Glacier Seafoods has grown into a trusted source of premium, wild-caught Alaskan seafood, rooted in family heritage, sustainable practices, and a dedication to quality.
