Wood's Market Garden
Brandon, VT
Wood’s Market Garden is a 165-acre family farm in Brandon, Vermont, that has been a cornerstone of the local community for generations. The Wood family first began farming the land in the early 1900s, and Bob and Sally Wood opened the farmstand in the 1960s, building a reputation for exceptional quality and a deep commitment to their community. Today, Dan and Elyse Wulfkuhle are carrying that legacy forward, growing roughly 40 acres of certified organic vegetables, fruits, herbs, and flowers.
Dan has been farming since he was a teenager and studied Plant, Soil, and Insect Science at UMass, while Elyse spent years working in natural resource conservation across the country. After 10 years living and working on Washington’s Olympic Peninsula, they returned east with their family to purchase Wood’s Market Garden. Today, Dan and Elyse farm alongside their three children, continuing the farm’s long tradition of nourishing the community.
