Utopihen Farms
New Holland, PA
Utopihen Farms partners with small, independent family farms to raise pasture-raised eggs with a genuine commitment to animal welfare and transparency. Their hens are Certified Humane, given a minimum of 110 square feet of pasture each, and kept in small flocks to ensure they have the space to roam and flourish. Hens are let out every morning to forage and socialize in fresh air and sunlight, and brought back in before dark.
Rather than the corn and soy-heavy diets common across most egg production, these hens are fed a blend of peas, alfalfa, and other seasonally available protein-rich ingredients sourced through local feed mills. Combined with what the hens forage naturally on pasture, it supports a more balanced, varied diet.
Utopihen is continually working toward a higher standard across everything they do. That commitment extends to their pasture-raised duck eggs as well — raised with the same ethical care as their chicken eggs, even though a Certified Humane standard for ducks doesn't yet exist.
