Siggi’s Dairy was founded in 2005 by Siggi Hilmarsson, an Icelandic expat who missed the thick, tangy skyr he grew up eating at home. Frustrated by the overly sweet, artificial options in American grocery stores, he began making yogurt in his own kitchen using simple recipes inspired by Icelandic tradition.
From those early batches grew Siggi’s Dairy, now known for skyr that is rich, creamy, and packed with protein but made with fewer ingredients and less sugar. The focus has always been on simplicity, using milk from family farms and only what is truly necessary to make wholesome, delicious yogurt.
