HoneyGramz

HoneyGramz is the brainchild of Ruth Harrigan, a NYC beekeeper with over 10 years of experience dedicated to advocating for pollination and the preservation of bees. Her journey began when her daughter, who wanted a dog for her birthday, received chickens instead. While researching how to raise them, Ruth stumbled upon a petition to legalize beekeeping in NYC, sparking her interest. She signed the petition and enrolled in a beekeeping course, just as the ban on urban beekeeping was lifted in 2010.

HoneyGramz was born when Ruth started bottling honey in 2oz bear jars with fun labels to give away as gifts. The brand has since grown, offering over 120 occasion labels and more than 12 organic honey flavors, including a SOFI award-winning creamed honey. Ruth’s passion for sustainability also led her to become a proud member of 1% For The Planet, donating to environmental causes.
