Our best rice. Kokuho Rose® is a proprietary variety that is meticulously bred for superior table quality. It has a long tradition as the sushi rice of choice, but has become a mainstay in many other styles of cooking, Asian and otherwise. Often imitated, never equaled.

Cooking Instructions: In a 2 quart saucepan combine 1 cup rice, 1 cup water, 2 tbsp sake (optional), 1 tsp salt. Stir lightly, bring to a boil, cover with a tight fitting lid, then reduce heat (low boil). Simmer for 16 minutes. Let stand covered for 10 minutes.
