Stryker Farms
In 2010, at age 21, Stryker Farm’s owner Nolan Thevenet decided to drop out of college and follow his dream of working outside and being a farmer. Ten years later, he prides himself on practicing true free range farming.

Liberty Delight Farms
After a career in corporate finance left him unsatisfied, head farmer Shane Hughes made his way back to
Reisterstown, Maryland to take over the family business of cattle farming. Hughes has managed not only to provide high quality, tasty meats, pasture-raised without growth hormones or stimulants, but he also has worked to preserve the natural water resources of his farm, maintain healthy grazing pasture for all his animals through field rotation and natural fertilization from the animals manure, and convert his farm to using predominantly solar energy.
VT99 Meats
Pete’s Greens and Jasper Hill Farm have joined forces; the vegetable farm and cheesemaker are working together to pasture heritage breed pigs in seasonal rotation with vegetable production and hay cropping. The goal is to utilize land more continuously while building soil instead of depleting it. Meanwhile, the pigs are taking care of leftover veggie scraps, cheese bits, and whey, which gives them a more varied diet than they would enjoy if they were raised independently.
