Heirloom Rambour Franc Apples

2 pieces

88 left

Believed to have been from the village of Rambure, these apples are one of the oldest apple varieties, having been first recorded in 1535 by a French botanist. By 1665, they were known around England and shortly thereafter brought to Colonial America. Also known as “Summer Rambo” for its early ripening, this complex apple delivers flavors hinting at berries, vanilla, and mint. Breaking, crisp, exceptionally juicy, aromatic flesh. These apples are particularly good fresh, on their own given their complex flavors, but as a result also breakdown into a super flavorful applesauce or butter.
