St. Agrestis
Brooklyn, NY
St. Agrestis was founded in Greenpoint, Brooklyn by brothers Louis and Matt Catizone, alongside long-time friend and industry veteran Steven DeAngelo. Raised in an Italian American family, Louis and Matt grew up with Italian food and drink as part of everyday life, including bitter sodas and amaro at the table long before those flavors were trendy.
That background shaped the brand’s focus: bold, bittersweet aperitifs rooted in traditional Italian drinking culture, made with the same pride and intensity Brooklyn brings to craft. St. Agrestis was the first to produce amaro in New York City and is also known for its non-alcoholic Phony Negroni, built to deliver real aperitivo structure without alcohol.
