Mann Packing

Gonzales, California

Mann Packing traces its roots back to the late 1930s when the United States was beginning to recover from the Great Depression. During this time, a young Stanford graduate, H.W. “Cy” Mann, arrived in California’s Salinas Valley in search of employment. He began his career trimming fruit and lettuce and established a fresh carrot packing operation—marking the beginning of what would become a thriving business.

From its inception, Mann Packing has upheld a reputation for honesty and integrity, values that remain at the core of the company today. As a team of innovative thinkers continues to deliver some of the finest vegetable products on the market, sustainability remains a priority across all operations, reflected in initiatives such as the company’s Gonzales, California facility, which features a 260-foot tall wind turbine to help offset energy usage. Additionally, wash water at the Salinas, California facilities is reclaimed into industrial waste systems.
