Fifth Month Farm

Fifth Month Farm is a produce farm and Community Supported Agriculture (C.S.A.) located in Mount Joy, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. The farm operates year-round, growing a wide variety of crops in both fields and greenhouses on five acres leased at Cedar Hill Farm. All produce is grown using organic methods, meaning no synthetic fertilizers, pesticides, or herbicides are used. The farm focuses on soil health through cover crops and crop rotation and works to encourage beneficial insects to thrive on the land.

Devin Barto, who has been working in organic farming for over 14 years, co-founded Fifth Month Farm with his wife, Kristi, a fine artist and baker. After studying organic farming post-college, Devin began his career in agriculture and eventually returned to Lancaster County to start their own farm after gaining experience in Maryland and the Philadelphia area.

Together, Devin and Kristi cultivate a welcoming, high-quality farm that strives to provide fresh, organic produce to their local community. We at Farm to People can see the care and dedication put into every crop and taste the difference their organic practices make, and know you will do.
